Features & Amenities

Upon entering The Gorges of Lake Toxaway, you’ll find yourself inspired by the protected on-site conservancy which is filled with several species of hardwoods. You will be encouraged to explore the more than 10 miles of hiking trails, which are woven seamlessly throughout the area and connect to the surrounding 10,000 acres of Gorges State Park.

This property, and in particular, these trails, once blazed by Native Americans, frontiersmen and pioneers, has a wealth of history to share. Artifacts of their journeys can still be found throughout this mountain wilderness, acting as a theatre for those looking to reconnect with the historical timelessness of this place.

Absorb the majesty of the mountain setting as you ascend to one of the many heaven piercing summits from which you can gaze, awestruck, over a vast sea of mountains, stretching further than the eye can see. At night, experience the stars performing, especially during the many meteor showers, allowing the viewer to not only witness the beauty of the cosmos but act as its personal conductor. Nestled in the cooling shadow of the peaks, follow the whistling of the wind.

With a sudden rush it awakens the sleep-in valleys, then combines to create a thunderous explosion as it mixes with almost a mile of pristine streams, cascades and waterfalls — including one fall with a 100’ drop. Centuries ago, these vibrant waters forged themselves throughout this land, filling this region full of life, while harboring and nurturing more than 120 species of rare plants and animals till this day.

As we survey this sanctuary, we can measure its power; this charismatic land, protected & preserved, full of legends. Here you can be pleasantly lost in one of its limited number of 32 exclusive home sites. The Gorges of Lake Toxaway is calling you home, begin your adventure today. No Agenda, Just Expectations.
